Boston's Hidden Sacred Spaces

Beginning in 2016, I partnered with Brandeis University sociologist Wendy Cadge and Wellesley College architectural historian Alice Friedman to document over 60 sacred spaces hidden within otherwise secular institutions around greater Boston. Supported by generous grants from Brandeis, Wellesley and MassHumanities, our ongoing project has been remarkably well received and is currently touring the region in a series of lectures and print exhibitions at prestigious venues including Harvard Divinity School, Wellesley College, Boston City Hall, Boston Atheneum, and the Joseph J. Moakley Federal Courthouse. We've also been featured on Huffington Post, Boston Magazine, NPR/WBUR, The Conversation, and other media outlets. Here is a small sampling of some of my favorite images from the project, seen in its totality here.
